Rollover Collision Reported Along I-780 In Benicia: CHP
A car was found 75 feet off the roadway near the Southampton Road offramp, according to the CHP.
BENICIA, CA — Major injuries were reported in a rollover collision early Monday along Interstate Highway 780 in Benicia, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP responded at 6:45 a.m. Monday to westbound I-780 just east of the Southampton Road offramp, where a car had gone through the fence on the shoulder, overturned and landed 75 feet off the roadway.
Two metal posts and 40 feet of chain link fence were reportedly damaged in the collision.

Benicia Fire Department told CHP dispatchers there were reports of screeching tires and crunching metal at 11:23 p.m. Sunday on the eastbound side of the freeway at Military Way, and that the two collision reports may be one in the same.
CHP Office David Harvey confirmed a crash was initially reported just before 11:30 p.m. Sunday at I-780 near Southampton that resulted in one possible major injury.
