Sacramento Man Killed When Tahoe Overturns On I-80: CHP
The driver lost control of his 1998 Chevrolet Tahoe for unknown reasons and was ejected as it overturned on I-80 in Solano County.
SOLANO COUNTY, CA — A 45-year-old Sacramento man died in a solo-vehicle crash Sunday on Interstate Highway 80 in Solano County.
The crash was reported at 3:33 p.m. on westbound I-80, west of state Highway 113, near Dixon, the California Highway Patrol said in a news release.
"For unknown reasons, the male driver lost control of his 1998 Chevrolet Tahoe and it overturned, the driver was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the vehicle," CHP Officer David Harvey said.

Solano CHP officers responded to the scene and provided medical aid to the driver, who was alone in the Tahoe when the crash took place, Harvey said.
The driver was then taken by ambulance to Kaiser Vacaville, where he died from his injuries.

The Solano County Sheriff-Coroner's Office was expected to release the man's name once his family members were properly notified.
Alcohol and/drugs were not suspected in the crash, but the cause was still being investigated, Harvey said.

"Relate that you have information for CHP - Solano and Officer Dudley, who is handling this investigation. Any information obtained regarding this collision will be greatly appreciated."
