See Daughter Surprise Her Dad In Budweiser's Toast To Stepfathers

A Vallejo daughter and stepdad are among three families in this short (but very sweet) film by Budweiser, "For The Fathers Who Stepped Up."

VALLEJO, CA — This Father's Day, Budweiser is aiming to shine an unexpected light on fatherhood by toasting stepfathers who stepped up, including Vallejo resident Randall "Randy" Obrion. In this short film shared with Patch, Obrion and his stepdaughter, Chloe, are among three families whose heartfelt stories are documented by Budweiser. Titled "For The Fathers Who Stepped Up," Budweiser film crews were on hand as children surprised their dads by officially removing the "step" from their stepfather titles.

Growing up in Vallejo, Chloe had gotten accustomed to her life living alone with her mother. When Chloe was 9 years old, her mom met Randall Obrion and she immediately resented him and tried to push him away. But he never stopped trying and eventually, Chloe grew to see him as "Dad." And so with this film, 16 years later, Chloe made the decision to ask Randall to officially adopt her.

Budweiser further invites all fans to tell their stories of a father who stepped up: For every comment on the film in social media, Budweiser will donate $1 to the Stepfamily Foundation, a nonprofit that supports blended families.
