She Has 'Helped So Many Through These Trying Times': Benicia Hero

BENICIA, CA— When times are tough, heroes emerge. We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented and changing times.

Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these heroes making a difference in their communities. Together with Ring, we’re working to let all your neighbors know about these outstanding people and their stories.

This one comes from Benicia resident David Rowley, who nominated Leslie Rowley.

Relationship to nominee: "She’s my wife, but also I’m her biggest fan."

Reason for recognition: "Leslie has led Benicia Jazzercise through all the challenges of COVID-19, providing her community with online streaming and even outdoor classes. Her positive energy and determination have helped so many through these trying times."

One thing to know: "Leslie works tirelessly to find creative ways to support her own and other local business through the pandemic. She’s a role model as a business owner and local leader."
