Solano Co. Woman Dies In Christmas Day Crash On I-80 In Berkeley
Authorities say multiple cars were involved in the fiery collision on westbound Interstate Highway 80.
BERKELEY, CA — A woman who was killed in a fiery, multi-car collision Christmas morning on Interstate Highway 80 in Berkeley was identified Thursday by the Alameda County coroner's bureau as 25-year-old Zakiya Oliver of Vallejo.
The collision occurred in the westbound lanes of I-80 just east of the Gilman Street exit at 5:22 a.m. Dec. 25, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Multiple lanes of westbound I-80 were blocked and traffic was backed up for a few miles before all lanes were reopened several hours after the collision.
