Vallejo Man, 28, Identified In Fatal I-80 Crash
McMurray was a passenger in a Honda Civic that collided with the rear of a tractor-trailer on eastbound Highway 80.
FAIRFIELD, CA — The Solano County coroner's office has identified a man who died in a vehicle collision with a tractor-trailer on Interstate Highway 80 Wednesday as 28-year-old Charles McMurray, who is believed to be a Vallejo resident.
McMurray was a passenger in a Honda Civic that collided with the rear of a tractor-trailer on eastbound Highway 80 in Fairfield early Wednesday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A 20-year-old Suisun City man was driving the Honda east on Highway 80 west of Air Base Parkway around 12:30 a.m. when he struck the rear of the tractor-trailer, crossed all lanes of the highway and hit the center median, CHP Officer David Harvey said.

The driver, who suffered minor injuries, was speeding and impairment is suspected as a factor in the collision, Harvey said. The tractor-trailer driver was not injured.
