Vallejo Man ID'd In Fatal Lakeville Hwy Head-On Crash

Authorities say the 29-year-old crossed double-yellow lines and collided head-on with a pickup truck.

NORTH BAY, CA — The Sonoma County Sheriff's Office has identified a driver who was killed in a head-on collision on Lakeville Highway on Wednesday as Galiano Crispieri, 29, of Vallejo.

Crispieri was driving a 2003 Mercedes-Benz north on Lakeville Highway east of Petaluma when he crossed over double yellow lines and collided head-on with a southbound 2008 Toyota Tundra around 10:10 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.

Crispieri died at the scene. A man, woman and their son from Santa Rosa who were in the Toyota suffered injuries that were not life-threatening, and they were taken to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital and Queen of the Valley Medical Center in Napa, CHP Officer Custodio Lopez said.

The collision closed Lakeville Highway until 1:40 p.m., Lopez said.
