Water Leak Closes Part Of Lake Herman Road In Benicia
A pipeline leak was discovered early Christmas morning and it may take 10-14 days to repair, the city said.
BENICIA, CA — A portion of Lake Herman Road has been closed since Christmas morning and because of a water leak near the Benicia Water Treatment Plant, and city officials said.
Around 3 on Christmas morning, water treatment plant operators found out about there was a leak in a pipeline. Staff immediately took measures to assure continued quality water provision to Benicia residences and businesses, city officials said.
Public Works staff noted it may take 10-14 days to repair the leak.

Until repairs are completed, Lake Herman Road remains closed to through traffic between Northgate Church (2202 Lake Herman Road) and Reservoir Road; motorists may use Reservoir Road to detour to East Second Street, the city said.
