Live Aboard A Boat At The Berkeley Marina

The City of Berkeley is holding a rare lottery for live-aboard berths.

BERKELEY, CA — If the high cost of real estate in the Bay Area's got you down, here's a unique solution - live on a boat at the Berkeley Marina. The City of Berkeley plans to award 13 live-aboard berths through a lottery. Hurry, the applications are due this Friday afternoon, Dec. 1, 2017 at 3 p.m.

Think of the possibilities! If you live on your boat full time, you can ditch your rent or mortgage payment. Put the money you save in the bank for an around-the-world sailing excursion.

The berths accommodate vessels from 24 to 62 feet in length. Live-aboard residents have access to restrooms, a laundromat and recreation for kids.
