Attorney Lauren O. Youngman Certified as Specialist in Family Law
The State Bar of California's program is a California Supreme Court approved method of certifying attorneys as Specialists in a given field.
“Rising Star” Attorney Lauren O. Youngman of the law firm of Youngman Reitshtein, PLC (YR) in Beverly Hills, California, has been certified as a Specialist in Family Law by the State Bar of California, Board of Legal Specialization.
The State Bar of California program for certifying legal Specialists is a California Supreme Court approved method of certifying Attorneys as Specialists in eleven specialty areas of law, including Family Law. Attorneys are certified through a process which includes successful passage of a written examination, completion of specific tasks in the specialty area, attendance at a prescribed number of approved education programs, and peer review.

Reitshtein was also recognized on the same Super Lawyer’s 2018 and 2019 “Rising Star” list. He and fellow YR Attorney/Partner Barbara J. Youngman (a seasoned veteran of Family Law) joined forces to open YR (Youngman Reitshtein, PLC) in late 2014. The firm is celebrating its 5th Anniversary this year.
About Lauren O. Youngman:
Lauren has been practicing family law for her entire career as an Attorney. Lauren has extensive experience litigating all manner of family law cases.
Although adept at litigation, Lauren’s practice is informed by her mediation training and is resolution oriented. Lauren routinely participates in settlement conferences and mediations, and successfully negotiates settlement agreements and stipulated judgments. Lauren also acts as a mediator or third-party neutral, to facilitate global resolution between parties.
Lauren is an active member of the Executive Board of the Family Law Section of the Beverly Hills Bar Association. Lauren just completed a year-long term as Co-Chair (2018-19), after having served as Co-Vice Chair and Secretary in past terms. Lauren is also a member of the Association of Certified Family Law Specialists, the Los Angeles County Bar Association, and the Women Lawyer’s Association of Los Angeles. Lauren serves as a volunteer Daily Settlement Officer with the Family Law Division of the Los Angeles Superior Court, and represents indigent clients pro bono through the Harriett Buhai Center for Family Law. She is a certified Specialist in Family Law by the State Bar of California.
Before entering private practice, Lauren attended the George Washington University Law School, and worked as a Legal Assistant for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security in Washington, DC.
