The oldest law firm in Beverly Hills, Ervin, Cohen & Jessup LLP, reached its 60th anniversary this year, and the Beverly Hills City Council presented a proclamation in its honor on Tuesday.
"They've been an active community member since 1963," said Mayor John Mirisch, highlighting the city's police and firefighter associations consult with Ervin, Cohen & Jessup LLP on legal advice.
"It's an important role to provide outstanding legal services to the community," he added.
W. Edgar Jessup Jr., accepting the proclamation, said they are honored to be a part of the community and its civic opportunities.
"You've got a lot of guts honoring a bunch of lawyers," he said jokingly.
