Celebrate Earth Day At Beverly Hills Farmers' Market

Beverly Hills will be celebrating Earth Day for the 15th year in a row with lots of "earthy" activities.

BEVERLY HILLS, CA – Beverly Hills will be celebrating Earth Day for the 15th year in a row with lots of "earthy" activities like energy-saving displays, paper shredding, free compost and electric vehicles, according to a City of Beverly Hills press release. On Sunday April 15, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., there will be a range of free, family-friendly activities for people to enjoy while doing their weekly shopping at the Beverly Hills Farmers’ Market.

Events and activities include:

  • Electric vehicle charging information
  • Paper shredding (no limit)
  • Earth Day crafts and stories, hosted by the Community Services Department
  • Free 20-pound bags of compost, while supplies last
  • Eyeglass recycling
  • Pet adoptions and grooming
  • The mobile earthquake simulator AKA the Quake Cottage. Are you prepared?
  • Native gardening advice
  • Solar energy vendors
  • Raffle prizes and more

The Beverly Hills Farmers’ Market is located on Civic Center Drive and Third Street in Beverly Hills. Free parking is available in the parking garage at 450 N. Rexford Drive.
