Coyote Sightings Increase in Beverly Hills

Coyote sightings have increased in Beverly Hills, West Hollywood and the Hollywood Hills, according to the City of West Hollywood.

"While these sightings can bring about moderate alarm, and there is a genuine need for concern, simple precautionary measures can be taken by residents to help reduce risk," the nearby city said in a news release.

Here are some tips from the City of West Hollywood on how to keep the animals away:

• Keep all animal and pet food and water dishes indoors at all times; 
• Keep trash cans and containers covered and secured at all times; 
• Keep cats indoors at all times unless supervised; and 
• Keep dogs and other family pets indoors at all times, unless supervised.
