Demonstration May Cause Traffic Delays on Sunset Boulevard Friday Evening

Motorists should expect traffic delays on Sunset Boulevard between the 405 Freeway and Beverly Glen Boulevard Friday evening because of a demonstration in the area, according to an alert from the Metropolitan Transportation Authority.

As many as 2,000 union workers are expected to gather at the Hotel Bel-Air around 4 p.m. and possibly march to Sunset Boulevard via Stone Canyon Road, according to an alert from the Bel-Air Association. Police will be monitoring the roads and may close them for safety reasons. Metro is alerting drivers to expect delays in the area from 4-8 p.m.
