Exotic Cars Parade Through Beverly Hills On Father's Day
The Tour d'Elegance brought cars from Jay Leno, Caitlyn Jenner, and the Shah racing through Beverly Hills Streets.

BEVERLY HILLS, CA — Beverly Hills was back in action Sunday as hundreds of spectators lined its streets to see an army of classic cars pass by.
The Tour d’Elegance, organized by the same team that puts on the annual Rodeo Drive Concours d’Elegance car show, brought 50 one-of-a-kind cars on a tour of the city’s streets.
It was quite a collection. In addition to souped up Bentleys and Bugattis, cheering crowds were treated to some history on wheels: the Beverly Hills Fire Department drove its own 1929 Ahrens-Fox Fire Truck. Jay Leno drove his 1951 Fabulous Hudson Hornet, while Jeff Dunham drove the “Chariot” from the “Lost In Space” TV series. Even the Shah of Iran’s Bugatti raced down Rodeo Drive, though needless to say he wasn’t around to drive it. Caitlyn Jenner drove a 1960 Bugeye Sprite emblazoned with a “Caitlyn for California” logo.

At a parking lot near City Hall, throngs of onlookers ogled the cars, while Jay Leno and the Beverly Hills City Council presented a $5,000 check to the Beverly Hills Police Officer Association and the Firefighters Association, which provide assistance to first responders injured in the line of duty, and maintain scholarship funds for their children, in addition to other types of support.
“We couldn’t be more pleased with the turn-out for the first-ever Beverly Hills Tour d’Elegance,” event founder Bruce Meyer told AutoWeek. “I would call the display of cars ‘show-stopping’ but for the first time in the Rodeo Drive Concours d’Elegance’s 25-year history, the show was moving! The Tour allowed us to find a socially distanced alternative to the much-loved Concours and reconnect with the community after an incredibly trying year, all while supporting our local first responders.”
