BEVERLY HILLS, CA — Bon appétit! Beverly Hills announced Tuesday that its farmers’ market, which has been closed since March 15, will reopen Sunday with restrictions.

The reopening will follow LA County guidelines. First and foremost, this means that the market will only sell fresh produce and prepackaged foods, and no food trucks or open, prepared food items will be available.

The market on Civic Center Drive near Beverly Gardens Park was once a carnival of activity on Sundays, with live music, a petting zoo, and outdoor seating. But as cases continue to rise as Southern California loosens restrictions, the market is taking a cautious approach. Sunday will be a quiet affair: a limited crowd will be required to wear masks and stand six feet apart. Shopping carts are also not allowed.
