Foodies Love A Tasting Menu!

A fabulous foodie event took place this week at the one and only THE PONTE. Celebrity Food Network Chef SCOTT CONANT flew in for a special PASTA TASTING that happened at his restaurant Wednesday night! I found out about it through following his INSTAGRAM STORIES. Being less than an hour away, and a major foodie and pasta lover, this was a reservation I didn't hesitate to make. Upon arriving my sister and I were thrilled to meet him.

What an adventure! For a very reasonable price, $45, we were served course after course of some of the amazing pasta dishes this restaurant is known for. Six pastas in all, including the famous PASTA AL POMODORO, their most requested dish. This is a food lovers dream! And it got me to thinking...

WOULD'NT IT BE GREAT IF MORE RESTAURANTS DID SPECIAL TASTING MENUS!!!

This kind of event gives a person like me, and many others in BIG L.A., a reason to make the trip and discover you. Most of us are surrounded by lots of restaurants and we often settle for convenience. When a high profile restaurant like THE PONTE makes you an offer you can't refuse, at a price that doesn't break the bank, it will bring big dividends. Now that I have had the experience, tasted the exquisite pasta, and enjoyed the expert service, I will be back! PLUS I'M TELLING ALL MY FRIENDS! Word of mouth is indeed the best advertising!

Oh, and before I forget, I must mention the BREAD! Worth the price of admission! I need to find out more about it! Tall, spongey, and perfect to dip in olive oil and sun dried tomato compote. Most pasta lovers are also bread lovers too!
