Horace Mann PTA Hosts Red Ribbon Week
Beverly Hills school hosts dress up days for a week in support of the country's drug prevention program, including a pledge contest.

Students at Horace Mann School in Beverly Hills are wearing red attire, baseball caps, Halloween costumes and more this week in support Red Ribbon Week
It's the nation's oldest and largest drug prevention program, celebrated annually during the last week of October. By wearing red ribbons and participating in community anti-drug events, young people pledge to make good choices and live a drug-free life.
All students, kindergarten through eighth grade, can show their support for Red Ribbon Week by participating in the theme dress-up days.
For Horace Mann students and parents keeping track, this week's themes are:
- Monday, Oct. 28 is "Red Ribbon Kick-Off" day. Students should wear red to school.
- Tuesday, Oct. 29: "Team Up Against Drugs" day. Students should wear their favorite jerseys, school-based or professional.
- Wednesday, Oct. 30: "Put a Cap on Drugs" day. Students should wear baseball caps.
- Thursday, Oct. 31, “Scare Drugs Away" day. Wear Halloween Costumes.
- Friday, Nov. 1:Â "Sock it to Drugs" day. Students should wear crazy or mismatched socks
Each class that turns in a signed pledge from each student in the class by Friday, Nov. 1 will receive a popsicle party. The date of the popsicle party will be given at a later date.
