Jay Belson on Ardie Tavangarian's Bel Air Listing

Jay Belson gives us his insight on Ardie Tavangarian's luxury home.

As the Los Angeles luxury real estate market moves into the holidays and a seasonal slow down, one luxury real estate developer decided to sell his home. Ardie Tavangarian, the founder of the Arya Group, has listed the mega-mansion he built for himself and his family for $88 million. The founder of the luxury design and construction group has developed some of Los Angeles’ most expensive homes. Tavangarian purchased the land for the house in 2014 at $11.1 million, designing it specifically for his personal use. Work on the 25,000 square foot mansion finished in July. This modern home built from natural materials throughout includes an extra 20,000 square feet in outdoor living space. The outdoor decks, patios, and gardens are perfect for anyone looking to enjoy the California sunshine. Many of the outdoor areas also feature fire pits, some reaching up to 40-feet in length. A two-story covered deck attached to the back of the house offers spectacular views. According to Mansion Global it “was designed to look like a picture frame through which a viewer could admire the Los Angeles skyline.” A relaxing swimming pool tops off the vast outdoor living space.

The eight-bedroom luxury home has an open feel and allows a spectacular amount of natural light in through glass panels around the house. There’s a perfect mix of relaxation and entertainment amenities throughout the home as well. The movie theater, game room, and art studio offer plenty of space to keep guests entertained while the sauna, steam room, and massage room offers optimal relaxation. A high-tech car elevator makes it easy for the owner to store multiple cars safely as well. If it gets too hot in the summer, motorized curtains around the home are designed to keep the interior cool.

Ardie Tavangarian has also designed and built homes for Jeffrey Katzenberg and the Hard Rock Cafe co-founder, Peter Morton. It’s another beautiful day in L.A.
