BEVERLY HILLS, CA — Justin Bieber has chosen Beverly Hills as the site of his first onstage live show in three years, and neighbors aren't happy about it.

Residents living near the Beverly Hilton hotel, where Bieber will put on a T-Mobile-sponsored "NYE Live With Justin Bieber" show that will stream digitally at 7:15 p.m. PT Thursday, complained about loud noise coming from set rehearsals. "It was like a car was parked outside of my house blasting music at one million decibels," an anonymous resident told Page Six.

Another wrote the Beverly Hills Courier: “It is now 3.30 pm on Wednesday afternoon but for the past one and half hours, music emanating from the Hilton hotel is so UNBELIEVABLY loud that I cannot have a conversation in my apartment, let alone actually do any work. My windows are rattling and the pens on my desk are vibrating even though I live 2 blocks away."

Sources said that they knew of many residents who called the hotel to complain, but the hotel referred them to the Beverly Hills Police Department.

The BHPD told Page Six in a statement that they are forwarding noise complaints to the film/permit office. "This is an independent production that has obtained proper permitting," said a BHPD spokesperson. "It is not City sponsored so we don't have any additional information to provide."

Reps for the Beverly Hilton apologized for the inconvenience and said they took steps to address the complaints.

The iconic hotel, which recently underwent a $35 million renovation and is now covered in elaborate scaffolding to prepare for the concert, will host Bieber as the first act of a series of streamed events, referred to as the "Oasis" series that will take place on its rooftop of its ballroom, where guests can watch from their balconies. Singers and comedians will perform atop the roof, and guests watching will need to wear masks and get fast COVID tests in their cars.

Bieber, who sold his Beverly Hills home for $9 million in October, is excited, until like his former townspeople. “We’re working on more surprises to watch out for during this special night. I can’t wait to partner on this epic New Year’s Eve concert with them, and give everyone a safe way to kick 2020 out the door, together," he said in a statement.

The event kicks off at 7:15 PT, and the performance will start at 8. T-Mobile customers can livestream the concert for free through the T-Mobile Tuesdays app or by going to www.JustinBieberNYE.com. Other "Beliebers" can purchase a virtual ticket for $25. The event will be available to watch until Jan. 1 at 12 p.m. PT.
