BEVERLY HILLS — Label's Table Delicatessen, located at 9226 W Pico Boulevard in Beverly Hills, has closed its doors.

The deli, which dubbed itself "the best, most affordable Jewish deli in Los Angeles," had planned to shutter at the end of January, but its owners on Tuesday announced on Facebook that the restaurant was closing immediately due to a family emergency.

"Due to a family emergency, Label's Table is closings its doors forever a bit earlier than expected," the post reads, in part. "Happy New year and we will miss you. With love, Bruce, Marie and the Label's Table staff."

"It’s been a pleasure serving this community for almost 5 decades," the note on Label Table's website reads. "We want to thank our customers from the bottom of our hearts for supporting us so sweetly for 46 years! Happy New Year to all our local customers and friends. Wishing you Health, Happiness and Prosperity in 2021."

According to the site, the restaurant focused on fresh, quality ingredients and valued "service and quality over fancy decorations and high prices."

The community's love for the deli was apparent in social media comments.

"This place has been a part of my history and my love of Deli’s," one Facebook user wrote. "My Great Grandmother worked the front counter for years when I was a kid. I will miss this place and the memories."

Eater Los Angeles reports the building that houses Label's Table is set to be demolished, but the restaurant owners have no plans to relocate.
