Oregon Filmmaker Imports Hollywood Talent For Movie Shoot

Filming 6/27-7/9 in Eugene, actors Maureen Kedes & Sandy Hackett, join local professionals & a few lucky students for "Thundercloud Lane."

Theatre Specialist at Oak Hill School in Eugene, Kitsann Means, has written a film trilogy Stories that explores the relationships between mothers and daughters. Her first installment has already been completed and was shot in Mexico City in Spanish. The third installment will be shot in Italy, in Italian, next year. The second installment, Thundercloud Lane, with the longest running time, is being shot over the next two weeks in Eugene, in English.

Thundercloud Lane, a 3-person family drama, tells the story of Esther Fishman, played by Maureen Kedes, a famous NYC artist, who now lives and paints in Eugene. Her husband, Russell Fishman (played by Sandy Hackett, son of legendary comedian Buddy Hackett) plays a stand-up road comic who has come back home for good after the passing of his on-stage partner. Their daughter, played by Gabriela Noble, is getting re-married in an extremely unconventional manner. Lots of family drama unfolds as the story progresses.

"The script tugged at my heartstrings. Kitsann is one of those film geniuses who doesn't realize she's a genius. She allows for a lot of collaboration and knows cinema and theatre. I love that she is bringing in a team of professionals mixed with local film students. I'm looking forward to my time in Eugene and bringing Esther to life," says Maureen Kedes.
