No DUI Charges for Christina Aguilera's Boyfriend

The L.A. County District Attorney decides not to prosecute 25-year-old Matthew Rutler for driving under the influence of alcohol in nearby West Hollywood, according to TMZ.

Christina Aguilera's boyfriend is off the hook in connection with a March 1 traffic stop that put the . TMZ reported Sunday that 25-year-old Matthew Rutler will not be prosecuted by the L.A. County District Attorney for drunken driving.

Deputies saw Rutler "driving erratically" around 2:45 a.m. near Sunset Boulevard and Clark Street on March 1, and pulled him over, said sheriff's spokesman Steve Whitmore. Aguilara was found "incapacitated" in the passenger seat. 

Rutler was booked on suspicion of misdemeanor driving under the influence of alcohol, and was held at the , Whitmore said. His blood-alcohol content tested at 0.06 percent, just below the 0.08 percent threshold, and he was released about 9:30 a.m. after posting $5,000 bail.

The District Attorney's Office officially rejected Rutler's case, according to TMZ, "citing insufficient evidence to prosecute for driving under the influence of alcohol."
