Reiss Davis Welcomes Dr. Halyna Kornuta as Interim Chancellor

The Board of Directors at the Reiss-Davis Graduate School is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Halyna Kornuta as Interim Chancellor of its Graduate Studies Program. Prior to her appointment, Dr. Kornuta was serving as the Provost for the Graduate School. Dr. Kornuta has served in higher education as a provost, associate vice president of academic affairs, director of educational effectiveness, and accreditation liaison officer. She provides leadership in faculty professional development, curriculum development, aligning curriculum with assessment, accreditation, and program review. She previously served as Provost at John Paul the Great Catholic University in San Diego, California, and as Associate Vice President of Academic Affairs at both the Chicago School of Professional Psychology an California State University of Stanislaus.

Dr. Kornuta earned her Bachelor of Education degree in Secondary Education, Mathematics and Chemistry, and Master of Education degree in Educational Administration from the University of Saskatchewan. She received her Doctorate in Leadership Studies from the University of San Diego. Her experience includes collaboration with faculty, staff, administrators, and students to continuously improve the quality of education for students. She excels in curriculum development, accreditation review, program development, assessment, and curriculum alignment with assessment. She has presented nationally and internationally.

The Reiss-Davis Graduate School, located on the campus of Vista Del Mar Child & Family Services in West Los Angeles, has a deep history of training psychologists and other mental health professionals in the field of child-adolescent mental health. The school offers a three-year Psy.D. Degree program in Psychodynamic Child Psychology and Psychotherapy, as well as fellowship programs in Clinical Psychology, Clinical Social Work, and Psycho-Educational Diagnostic Testing Services (PEDS). Reiss-Davis Graduate School is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges Senior College and University Commission (WSCUC).

As the national search for permanent Chancellor is in process, the Board and staff of Reiss-Davis extend their gratitude to Dr. Kornuta, whose dedication, dynamic leadership style and reputation of excellence continues to have great impact.
