Sumner Redstone's Beverly Hills Estate Listed For $27.9M

BEVERLY HILLS, CA — The final home of the late billionaire media mogul Sumner Redstone, the majority owner of National Amusements theater chain and majority shareholder of ViacomCBS, is now for sale. Redstone, whose net worth is estimated at $2.6 billion, died in August at age 97. His final years were spent in a nasty battle surrounding his will and mental fitness.

But his Beverly Park mansion - which he purchased for $14.5 million in 2002 - is still in great shape. In the early 2000s, Death Row Records co-founder Suge Knight was interested in the property, but neighbors objected to the presence of the controversial rapper who was a central figure in the East Coast-West Coast hip hop feud of the 1990s. In 2001, neighbor Sylvester Stallone bought the property for an undisclosed amount in 2001, and sold it to Redstone the following year.
