Los Angeles police also beef up patrols at the nearby Beverly Center.

A march protesting the acquittal of George Zimmerman in connection with the shooting death of Trayvon Martin occurred peacefully in Beverly Hills Wednesday, beginning at La Cienega Park. It reached Rodeo Drive, then returned to the park.
Fearing a possible repeat of a crime spree that victimized visitors and businesses in Hollywood Tuesday night, Los Angeles police beefed up patrols Wednesday at the Beverly Center but no threats materialized, police said.
The Los Angeles Police Department "received word that the same crowd that did silliness in Hollywood" was "going to the Beverly Center [Wednesday] evening," Cmdr. Andy Smith said.
