What's Up Weekend: Holiday Lighting Ceremony, 'Talk of the Town' Gala

Here are five things to know in Beverly Hills this weekend.

1. The Beverly Hills Holiday Lighting Ceremony takes place on Sunday, Nov. 24 beginning at 5 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. on the 200 block of Rodeo Drive at Wilshire Boulevard in front of 2 Rodeo Drive and the Beverly Wilshire Hotel. The festivities will feature artists creating life-size ice sculptures with chainsaws, chic New York-based DJ’s spinning holiday favorites with a twist, Mr. Kringle and the Beverly Hills High School Marching Band heralding the arrival of the 2013 Holidays. 2. Beginning Nov. 22 and throughout the holiday season, Westfield Century City will have on display throughout the mall a collection of 12 reindeer that have been designed by prominent Los Angeles artists. Click here for more information.

3. Associates for Breast and Prostate Cancer Studies, (ABCs), hosts its 24th annual, star-studded Talk of the Town black-tie gala at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, Saturday, Nov. 23. The gala benefits breast and prostate cancer research at John Wayne Cancer Institute (JWCI) at Saint John’s Health Center. Click here for more information.
