Woman Killed In Olympic Boulevard Crash
Drivers are advised to avoid Olympic Boulevard in the West Los Angeles area while police investigate the fatal crash.
LOS ANGELES, CA — A woman died and a teenager was injured in a rush-hour crash on Olympic Boulevard in West Los Angeles Wednesday evening.
Paramedics worked to free the woman who was trapped in the wreckage of the crash, but she died at the scene, according to Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Brian Humphrey.
The two-car crash occurred just after 5 p.m. at 10730 West Olympic Blvd near the intersection of Olympic Boulevard and Overland Avenue, according to the fire department. The second driver was a teenage boy, who suffered moderate injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital, according to Humphrey.

"One or more lanes of travel in the immediate area are expected to remain closed until LAPD/Coroner operations are complete," Humphrey said. "Motorists should expect congestion and avoid the area."
