1 Dead In Westside Hit & Run
Police are looking for the driver of a box truck who struck and killed a pedestrian Wednesday in West LA without stopping to help.
WEST LOS ANGELES, CA — A box truck hit and killed a pedestrian in the West Los Angeles area Wednesday morning, and the driver fled the scene.
It happened at 6:20 a.m. at Pico and Sepulveda boulevards, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. Witnesses described seeing an older-model box truck with faded "Penske" signage on it. The person who was allegedly behind the wheel was later taken into custody for questioning, police said.
Information was not immediately available on the identity or gender of the fatally injured person.
