Billy Bob Thornton Downsizes to Brentwood Home

Actor Billy Bob Thornton significantly downsized from his 11,000-square-foot Beverly Hills home that he once shared with actress Angelina Jolie to a 3,600-square-foot Cape Cod in the Mandeville Canyon area of Brentwood, reports AOL Real Estate.

Thornton purchased the home for $2.7 million, and it features French doors leading to a professionally designed great room with a stacked-stone fireplace. The home also comes with a fully-updated kitchen and walk-in pantry, as well as a master suite, private salt water pool and outdoor entertaining space. 

The writer and director finally sold his Beverly Hills home on New Year's Eve, according to Zillow, one that he shared with Jolie until their divorce in 2003. The former couple purchased the mansion for $3.7 million from Guns N' Roses guitarist Slash in 2000.
