Happy Mother’s Day From Rich Garden
"Mom, I love you for a thousand reasons, and I'm going to start telling you finally."

In celebration of Mother's Day on Sunday May 13, we asked Patch readers to write a letter to their mother and let us deliver it. This is Rich Garden's letter to his mom:
After my dad died in 2013, I started spending a lot of time with my mom, helping with all sorts of typical things. We haven't always been the closest and disagree on almost everything.
I don't tell her I love her often, but simply put, my mom has done so much for me. She has made me so grateful and has provided me with an enriched life. Needless to say, it's about time I tell her how very much I love her.
My parents gave me a spectacular childhood. I felt like the luckiest kid alive with the best parents in the world.
There's nothing I wouldn't do for my mom. She's a very young 82. People thinks she 70. I want her to live until 109. If only she'd walk with me and her three darling doggies, she might make 109.
Mom, thank you, thank you and thank you — but most of all, thank you. I love you for a thousand reasons, and I'm going to start telling you, finally.
