Homeless Man Charged In Four Sepulveda Brush Fires

Police allege a homeless man set a series of brush fires along Sepulveda Boulevard over the weekend including one near the Getty Center.

LOS ANGELES, CA — A homeless man was charged Tuesday with setting four weekend brush fires along Sepulveda Boulevard.

Steven William Adkison, 31, could face up to eight years in state prison if convicted of four felony counts of arson of a structure or forest, according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office.

Adkison allegedly set the fires near Sepulveda Boulevard and Getty Center Drive on Sunday.

A good Samaritan who allegedly witnessed Adkison setting one of the fires detained him until police and firefighters arrived, according to the District Attorney's Office.
