Letter To the Editor: Best Brentwood Neighborhoods to Trick-or-Treat In?
A new resident to Brentwood, Michael Shivers wanted to know where the best place to trick-or-treat was.

Hi Jared,
My family recently relocated to the Brentwood area (Bundy and San Vicente) and we don't know where to take our 8-year-old trick-or-treating. We would rather walk than to get in the car, but will if we have too.
Thanks MuchÂ

We put Michael's question to Nancy Freedman, chair of the Brentwood Community Council and longtime Brentwood resident:
My street is usually the go-to street: Homewood Road. I think at 474 they are having a $5 fundraising haunted house to raise money for a charity.  If you can find a parking place, it is wild.  Unfortunately the Police station haunted house was over the weekend. The Brentwood Glen is jumping. Lots of people on our street have little parties and then the kids go door to door together. I also have a life size cut out of Kobe and we "toss" the candy in to kids' bags which is fun for everyone.Â
The best place for trick or treating with families is in Santa Monica. South of San Vicente, North of Montana, between 17th and 21st Street.
