Man Found Dead in Brentwood Parking Garage

The man was found Monday morning.

A man was found dead Monday in an underground parking garage in the Brentwood Park area, police said.

The Los Angeles Department of Coroner's Office said Tuesday the 73-year-old man's death has been ruled a suicide.

The case was initially reported as a possible homicide, Det. Stanley Evans of the Los Angeles Police Department said.

Police arrived at the underground garage in the 800 block of Gretna Green Way at about 7:25 a.m. after someone spotted the man next to a car "with blood around him," said Los Angeles police Officer Norma Eisenman of the Media Relations office.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene, Eisenman said.

The building where the man was found is located near Brentwood Science Magnet School and where the Brentwood Farmers Market is held weekly.
