(Interactive) Police Blotter: String of Vehicle, Home and Business Burglaries Hits Brentwood
On the LAPD list of reported crime for the week ending Sept. 11 is a rash of theft, including a laptop from a construction site office in Brentwood.

Burglary, Theft From Vehicle
Three cars were burglarized between the 11600 and 11700 blocks of Chenault Street on Friday. The windows of all three vehicles were smashed and personal items stolen. The first in the string of thefts occurred at 6 p.m. A purse and laptop were stolen. At 7:30 p.m., an iPad, laptop and backpack were taken from the second car. The third car had an iPod stolen from it at 9 p.m.
Burglary, Theft From Home or Business
There were three burglaries within two hours of one another on Sept. 4. The first house was unlocked and had jewelry stolen from it at 6 p.m. on the 12000 block of Kearsage Street. An hour-and-a-half later, at 7:30 p.m., the window of a residence was smashed and jewelry taken on the 1700 block of Mandeville Canyon. The third home, located on the 12100 block of Greenlock Lane had watches and jewelry stolen from it after residents left a window unlocked.Â

On Thursday at noon, the window of a residence on the 500 block of S. Gretna Green Way was smashed and cash and jewelry were taken.
A laptop was taken from the office of a construction site on the 11600 block of San Vicente on Friday at 12:45 p.m.
The door of a residence on the 500 block of N. Bonhill Road was pried open on Saturday at 2 p.m. Police don't know if anything was stolen from the home.
A safe and jewelry were taken from a residence on the 100 block of S. Westgate Avenue at 6 p.m. on Sunday.
