AMBOY and Grand Central Market present ULAM (Main Dish) — a Filipino food documentary following the rise of the Filipino food movement via the chefs crossing over to the center of the American table.
Los Angeles Times’ Jonathan Gold will host a panel with the director Alexandra Cuerdo and chefs from the film, such as Alvin Cailan and the Valencia brothers, along with other Filipino chefs aiming to make a difference in the Filipino food movement. This special screening is part of the Los Angeles Times Food Bowl, the month-long festival celebrating the city's dynamic and influential food scene.
