The company will provide a free one-way ride and tow of up to 10 miles to the driver’s home between 6 p.m. Tuesday and 6 a.m. Wednesday for people calling (800) 222-4357, AAA officials said. The driver’s passengers
can also get a ride to the driver’s home if there is sufficient room in the tow truck.
People requesting the “Tipsy Tow” service don’t have to be AAA members, according to the company.

“Many people enjoy getting into the spirit of Cinco de Mayo, which tends to involve plenty of celebrating,” AAA Northern California spokeswoman Cynthia Harris said in a statement. “If you’ve been drinking alcohol, don’t get behind the wheel. Give AAA a call and we’ll make sure you get home safely.”
Callers cannot make a reservation in advance for the service, according to AAA.
