Bargains Galore in Burlingame Library Auction

Now in its final week, the Burlingame Library Foundation’s online auction has some new items and others that have no bids or low bids at https://www.biddingforgood.com/BA2015/2018. To bid, all you need to do is set up a free account. The auction will end at 6 p.m. on Sunday, September 2. Winners will be notified by email. All proceeds will provide programs and augment services at Burlingame’s two public libraries.

New items offered in the auction include:

• Lemos family farm – goat yoga lesson for four people, $100 off a birthday party and free admission for a family of four
• Masterworks Chorale – two season tickets for four concerts
• Mistral Restaurant – $100 gift certificate
• Napa and Sonoma Bike Tours – all-day bicycle rental for two
• Central County Fire Department – ride to school on fire engine
• Young Can Wok – $200 gift certificate
• Blue Line Pizza – $25 gift certificate
• Worth New York – wool sweater and colorful scarf
• La Petite Baleen – $100 gift certificate for swim lessons

Among the many items with bids far below their value or no bids are:

• Preston’s Candies and Ice Cream – candy and chocolate tour for two (“basically all the candy you can eat for two hours”)
• California Academy of Sciences – four admission tickets
• Shakespeare tickets – offered by three different theater companies
• San Francisco Giants items
• Hello Kitty school supplies
• Classic Kids Photography – photo sitting and archival photograph
• Henry’s Place – 14 separate tickets for brunch in a Hillsborough garden and a flower arranging demonstration on October 6
• NASCAR race tickets
• Tahoe Donner Ski Resort – two all-day passes
• Vineyard Vines – private shopping party and $300 gift card
• Gift certificates to numerous children’s attractions, sports and summer camps, and museums
• Beauty items in the “For You” category
• Fun excursions such as whale watching in Monterey Bay and four tickets to a “Wheel of Fortune” taping
• Wine tours and tastings
