Burlingame Grass Fire Sends Up Smoke Over Peninsula
A grass fire in Burlingame Sunday afternoon sent up smoke visible in Foster City and the surrounding area, officials said.
BURLINGAME, CA — A grass fire broke out in Burlingame Sunday afternoon, sending up smoke that was blown into Foster City, officials said.
Foster City police said in a tweet that there was no emergency in Foster City. San Mateo County asked residents in an alert to avoid calling 911 unless smoke and flames were visible locally.
