Burlingame Honors Business With Landscape Award

There is a new winner of the Burlingame Business Landscape Award. At this week’s City Council meeting, the Beautification Commission awarded the Carr, McClellan, Ingersoll, Thompson & Horn law offices with the honor.

“The objective of this award is to recognize and encourage commercial landscaping that fosters civic pride and promotes commerce,” said Business Landscape Committee Chair Anne Hinckle. “This landscape has been created as a model for business in the City of Burlingame.”

She said the Beautification Commission received 14 nominations. Each commissioner made a visit to each business before voting in June.

The law office received an engraved plaque, as well as a water color of the landscape painted by local artists Dale Perkins.

“This property has been beautifully landscaped for many years,” Hinckle said. “[It] contributes to the enjoyment of all who pass by.”
