Burlingame Mayor Named Chair Of Transportation Board
Mayor Emily Beach will lead the seven-member San Mateo County Transportation Authority board.

BURLINGAME, CA — Burlingame Mayor Emily Beach was named chairwoman of the San Mateo County Transportation Authority board on Thursday.
Beach, who represents Cities-at-Large on the board, was selected after serving as vice chairwoman last year. Rico Medina, who represents the Northern Judicial Cities, was elected as vice chairman.
The board governs the Transportation Authority, which administers funding for transportation and infrastructure projects throughout San Mateo. The seven-member board is composed of one member from the Northern, Central and Southern Judicial cities, one member from Cities-at-Large, two members of the San Mateo County Board of Supervisors, and one member from the SamTrans Board.
