Burlingame PD Offers Special Needs Registry

Automatic notification lets officers know how to respond

If someone in your home has special needs, you can let the Burlingame Police Department know so that emergency personnel can respond appropriately. Police officers will receive an automatic message about this person’s special needs if they are called to your address.

Click on this link on the City of Burlingame’s website to register someone’s special needs. Family members and care providers are encouraged to enroll Burlingame residents of any age with any medical, mental health condition or disability including, but not limited to dementia, autism, epilepsy or ambulatory restrictions.

You can attach documents (in PDF format) and photos. There’s also an opportunity at the end of the form to provide additional details, including the location of a hidden key in order to minimize the need for emergency personnel to force entry into your residence.
