Free Repairs This Saturday In Burlingame
Repair Cafe helps keep things out of the landfill.

Got something broken? Instead of tossing it out, you can get it fixed for free at the Repair Café on Saturday, September 15. It will take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Lane Room at the Burlingame Public Library at 480 Primrose Road in Burlingame.
Volunteers skilled at fixing small appliances, jewelry, printers, clothing, lamps and other things will repair up to three items per person during the event. In addition, broken and outdated electronic items may be recycled at no charge between 11 a.m. and noon in large e-waste containers outside the entrance to the Lane Room on Bellevue Avenue.
The Repair Café brings together fix-it volunteers with folks who have items in need of repair. Youths can be paired with a “fixer” to learn new skills. The event offers a chance to keep things out of the landfill as well as build community. While waiting for your turn, you can enjoy free refreshments and chat with others.
