Hillsborough Police Investigate Burglaries Over Weekend

Police believe two attempted residential burglaries were committed by the same suspect. There were also two burglaries over the weekend.

HILLSBOROUGH, CA — The Hillsborough Police Department is investigating a string of residential burglaries and attempted residential burglaries that occurred over the weekend in the town.

No suspect has been identified in any of the incidents.

Police believe the two attempted residential burglaries were committed by the same suspect, but are unsure of whether the burglaries were related.

The first burglary occurred on Saturday afternoon on Aster Avenue, when a suspect entered the second story window of a home by stacking patio furniture onto a table in the backyard before stealing several items from the home.

On Saturday night, the rear window of a home on the 2200 block of Skyfarm was smashed and items were taken, according to police.

The two attempted burglaries occurred on Saturday night between 9 p.m. and 11 p.m. on Denise Road. Residents were home at the time of both instances, and police believe the suspect fled when lights were turned on or the alarm siren sounded.

Police are asking residents in the area of all incidents to check their surveillance cameras for any images for potential suspects.
