Artist’s Opening Reception Sunday, February 18th, 2018, 1-4 pm
In this exhibit, Bay Area artist, Inna Cherneykina, will be presenting a series of alla prima still life and floral paintings. Cherneykina’s pieces combine a passion for color, bold brushwork and attention to drawing and composition. Her goal, when creating still life and floral paintings, is to not merely render the portrait of the object, but to create an impression, to make viewers feel that they can almost smell the rose from the painting or sense the juiciness of the persimmons.

Inna Cherneykina has been creating art in her studio in Foster City for last ten years and previously in Moscow where she lived and studied art. In explaining her inspiration, Cherneykina states: “I believe true art is born of a harmony between vibrant colors, bold light and mysterious shade captured on canvas in a very personal way. It is my objective in every painting to create this harmony, by seeing the beauty of the world and adding my personal vision and admiration of it in just the right proportion.” Her art has been exhibited in galleries around the Bay Area and Napa.
Luscious is sure to delight and educate anyone wanting to experience bold new artwork from a local artist.
