Peninsula Bank Robbery Probed
Robber made off with a large sum of cash, authorities said.
MILLBRAE — Authorities are seeking the public’s help in their investigation of a bank robbery in this Peninsula city Monday morning.
The robbery occurred just before 10 a.m. at the Wells Fargo Bank at 490 Broadway, the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.
“The suspect handed the Bank Teller a note that demanded money and was subsequently given a large sum of cash,” the Sheriff’s Office said.

The robber was last seen walking quickly away from the scene, authorities said. He is described as a 35-to 40-year-old man, around 6 feet tall, who was wearing all black clothing.
No weapons seen or mentioned during heist and no additional suspects or vehicles were seen.

The FBI is also investigating this case.
