Police Blotter: Attempted Burglary and More

The following information was supplied by the Burlingame Police Department. Where arrests are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Tuesday, September 18

5:37 a.m. A citizen on the 300 block of Primrose Road reported construction happening during prohibited hours. No construction was found to be taking place.

9:13 a.m. A citizen request officers check on an elderly couple who had not answered any of the citizen's phone calls for two days. The couple was contacted and found to be fine, they just didn't want to talk to the friend.

9:20 a.m. An iPad was stolen from the 1400 block of Floribunda Avenue.

11:51 a.m. A transient had reportedly been going into stores on the 1800 block of El Camino Real and harassing customers. He was admonished.

2:11 p.m. A tree limb fell on a car at Ansel Road and Oak Grove Avenue.

Wednesday, September 19

3:52 a.m. A citizen was contacted going through recyclables on the 1300 block of Burlingame Avenue.

9:02 a.m. A citizen reported to police a drunk transient outside of a business on the 1800 block of Magnolia Avenue. The man was not drunk and, after speaking with an officer, decided to go to San Francisco.

9:35 a.m. Tires were stolen off a vehicle on the 1300 block of Marsten Road.

9:49 a.m. A citizen on the 1600 block of Adrian Road said someone was placing bags on marijuana in his dumpster. He requested passing checks.

Thursday, September 20

8:16 a.m. A catalytic converter was stolen from a car on the 1200 block of Vancouver Avenue.

1:37 p.m. Police contacted a man sitting on a traffic island near the Highway 101 ramp and Broadway. He was told he can not sit there.

4:48 p.m. A resident reported to police finding pry marks on his front door on the 1500 block of Cabrillo Avenue, indicating an attempted burglary. No entry was made.

10:58 p.m. There was a report of three cars speeding and doing donuts at David Road and Rollins Road. Officers could not find the cars.
