Police Blotter: Gun Part Found in Recyclables

Tuesday, September 11
2:56 a.m. There was a report of a jogger pulling flowers out of a garden on the 2100 block of Hillside Drive.
8:54 a.m. A business on the 300 block of Primrose Road reported someone broke in and stole a computer over the weekend.

11:40 a.m. Police received a report that four juveniles were in a car rolling joints on the 3000 block of Arguello Drive. Police confirmed they were not rolling joints, but just going for a hike.
4:40 p.m. A recycler picked up a bag on electronics on the 1500 block of Rollins Road and found parts of a gun in the electronics.

Wednesday, September 12
5:35 a.m. People were reportedly living in a motor home in front of a residence on the 1500 block of Eastmoor Road. They said they were unaware they could not have the motor home in the residential area between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m. They had been visiting a friend and moved the home.
7:37 a.m. There was a report of a man "ranting and raving" at the train station.
9:55 p.m. A resident reported there was a loud group of juveniles on the 1500 block of Newlands Avenue who sounded like they were having fun. Police could not find the juveniles.
Thursday, September 13
9:04 a.m. A bank alarm was sounding on the 1400 block of Howard Avenue. It was found to be set off in error.
12:26 p.m. Lost keys were turned into the police station.
7:13 p.m. A resident on the 700 block of El Camino Real reported his neighbor walks around in an inappropriately short robe.
Friday, September 14
12:09 a.m. Police received a residential alarm from a vacant home. It was found to be caused by a dead battery in a smoke detector.
5:05 a.m. Police received a report of a suspicious vehicle on the 200 block of Dwight Road.
8:10 a.m. A resident reported that there was someone sleeping in the laundry room of his apartment building on the 1400 block of Floribunda Avenue. The subject bicycled away before police arrived.
