Police Blotter: Knife Pointed During Road Rage and More

Tuesday, August 7
3:58 a.m. A tree was stolen from a front porch on the 2500 block of Trousdale Drive.
1:04 p.m. The garbage company was unable to pick up the trash at a business on the 800 block of Mitten Road because it was blocked by a park car.

9:10 p.m. A citizen reported a man singing and attempting to open car doors on the 400 block of California Drive. Officers could not locate the man.
Wednesday, August 8

1:14 a.m. A hotel guest on the 100 block of Anza Boulevard accidentally called 911 while trying to call India.
10:47 a.m. There was a report of a homeless encampment in an easement on the 1100 block of Sanchez Avenue. It turned out to be dumped garbage and was cleaned up by Public Works.
5:15 p.m. A resident on the 1200 block of Broadway reported his neighbor tried to hit him, but missed. A police report was filed.
Thursday, August 9
12:50 a.m. A resident said a neighbor on the 1200 block of Broadway was singing and slamming doors. The neighbor agreed to be quieter.
7:50 a.m. Three individuals tried to steal alcohol on the 1400 block of Howard Avenue.
4:25 p.m. A merchant on the 1400 block of Howard Avenue believed a received $100 bill was counterfeit. The officer found it to be legitimate.
5:14 p.m. During a case of road rage on the 800 block of Mitten Road, one driver pointed a knife at another.
