Police Blotter: Needles Found Behind Vacant House

Saturday, July 21
1:11 a.m. A hotel guest on the 1300 block of Bayshore Highway reported that he lost his wallet while he was dancing.
7:36 a.m. Police received a report of people running behind a vacant house on the 1500 block of California Drive. The area was checked, and hypodermic needles were found.

9:58 a.m. There was a report of a subject defecating in a yard on the 1500 block of Columbus Avenue. The subject was determined to be in the yard legally.
7:58 p.m. There was a report of a man attempting to hit a woman with an empty baby stroller on the 400 block of Marin Drive.

Sunday, July 22
12:33 a.m. The Peninsula Humane Society was contacted regarding a dead raccoon at Broadway and Carolan Avenue.
4:29 a.m. The police department was asked to look for a drunk driver on the 700 block of Willborough Road. The driver was delivering newspapers.
4:32 p.m. A woman on the 1100 block of Dufferin Avenue reported someone painted her roof and was threw lollipop sticks and fruit in her yard. The woman's daughter told police the paint is from a home repair and the trash had been handled.
Monday, July 23
12:08 a.m. A house alarm went off on the 1400 block of Hillside Circle. The backdoor was unsecured, but nothing seemed out of order inside the house.
1:55 p.m. A fallen tree limb was causing a hazard on the 0 block of Bay View Place.
5:01 p.m. A 48-year-old man vandalized the Burlingame Public Library by writing that he loved "Carmen" on the wall. He was told to not return to the library for one week.
